Kiss marry kill

 The Great Gatsby has been filled with lots of drama and love and lust. Therefore I will be discussing who I will be Kissing, Marrying, and Killing from the three main male and female characters. The three Male characters I will be discussing are Gatsby, Wilson, and Tom. The three Female characters I will be discussing are Daisy, Jordan, and Myrtle. Firstly I will begin with the Boys side of the Kissing and Killing.

    Firstly, I would like to kiss Tom Buchanan. Tom Buchanan has shown that he is the star of the show being the “Most powerful end that ever played Football at New Haven.” He is a “Hulking” man who is clearly more attractive and handsome. Tom Buchanan was more of a muscular person you would want to meet at a college party and have fun with. I would kiss Tom because he wasn’t really a bad guy, he just wanted two girls at once.

    Secondly, I would Marry Gatsby. On page 78 it states, ““Gatsby bought this house so that Daisy would be just across the bay.” This is showing how Gatsby is a man of love and kind heart and would go to the ends of the earth to be with you. I would want this kind of person for me if I were getting married. On page 82 it states ”Call up daisy...Invite her over here for tea.” Gatsby even tried to invite Daisy for “tea” just to be able to reconnect and finally be able to see her again. No matter how you do Gatsby he will always chase you back and that's what every Husband should do in a relationship. 

    Lastly for the male characters i would Kill Willson. Wilson was a selfish man who didn't do anything for his wife and even treated her like garbage. On page 136 it states”I've got my wife locked in up there...” and on page 137 it states,”throw me down and beat me.” This quote  is showing how Wilson treated His wife locking her up and beating her. The second quote was stated by Wilson's own wife. Why would any reasonable human being want to Marry a brute who beats their wife? Let alone kiss them. This quote also shows Wilsons temper and how he would never keep his cool. I think people like this are useless in society and should die. Wilson also killed another human being which can never be accepted or forgiven as stated in page 166,”Mr.Gatsby’s dead.” 

    To begin with the women Side of my choosing I would Kiss Daisy. First off Daisy seems like too big of a handful to marry. Daisy always was too expensive and wanted luxury things while the 2 other girls would just deal with what they had. I wouldn't want my wife to leave me because I can't buy her a 5 carat ring. It states, “Im p-paralyzed with happiness.” In this quote Daisy is showing how happy she got with Gatsby when he showed her the clothes he had bought just for her. I would want my wife to be a little more meaningful than just some clothes from a Gucci store. I also think that Daisy is not that bad of a person and hasn't done much wrong to be killed for no reason.

    Secondly, I would marry Jordan because she never mistreated Nick or any other male person in the book. In a quote it states”She held my hand impersonally, as a promise that she’d take care of me in a minute, and gave ear to two girls in twin yellow dresses, who stopped at the foot of the steps.” This is showing how Jordan Baker cares for other people and how she would put them first before herself. I would want a loving wife to be with me so she can take care of me when I need to. Love me and be respectful towards my opinions. I wouldn't want to kill an innocent girl who also played professional golf because when I kill her I will get arrested because she is famous.

    Lastly I would kill myrtle. Myrtle has lots of regret in her relationship which is something i don't need in mine. A quote showing this is “I married because I thought he was a gentleman,” she said finally. “ In chapter 2 it also states,”she let four taxicabs drive away before she selected a new one, lavender-colored with gray upholstery” Myrtle was always sleeping around and trying to find a cheaper or out of the ordinary version of things. The previous quote I stated is showing how myrtle got into a ‘Lavender’ Cab which is something odd as there are none of that color; because any normal person would never get into a cab of that color. Which is a huge reason one why I would kill Myrtle and Mary and kiss Daisy and Jordan. Myrtle is just an all around crappy person compared to the other girls, and further making me feel as if I would kill her over the other 2 girls.
